I will never forget the day my dad and I sat in my mom’s doctor appointment and the doctor uttered, “You have breast cancer.” My heart sank as I grabbed my mom’s hand and she began to cry. Ever since that day, I have wanted to help other women who have had those same words uttered to them.
Knowing how important it is to have volunteers to help run a non-profit, I wanted to be responsible to recruit and help train volunteers for My Hope Bag. I currently hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Promotion, as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Leadership.
