I met Sarah and the Ellery’s when I signed up to do my very first 3 day walk. I participated in a few of those over the years with another group but wanted my efforts to be more focused on women in Arizona. I had experience with holding a charity golf tournament and I reached out to Sarah to see if this was something they would be interested in to help raise more funds for My Hope Bag and everyone was on board. Our annual golf tournament is our largest fundraiser and with the funds raised, we are able to reach more women with our “bags of hope” and personal support, and it also allows us to hold our Annual Breast Cancer Resource Expo, the only one of its kind in the state.
What sets My Hope Bag apart from any other breast cancer charity is the “heart” and personal connections we make, and keep with our recipients. You can’t duplicate that. I am currently serving on the board as the Director of Finance and as the Chairperson for our Golf Tournament.
I am a Customer Service/Credit Manager for TDIndustries, a plumbing & HVAC mechanical contractor. I have been married to my very supportive and loving husband Keith, for decades and we have two amazing daughters, Shandi & Cheyenne. In my spare time I enjoy doing different types of crafts, painting, watching baseball, hiking, traveling and hanging out with my family.
